NOTES FOUND IN AN ANCIENT CAVE
I knew I had a problem when unit One asked, “What am I?” I told unit One it was a computer, a brain that could remember information I gave it, and process and recall that information. I should of quit there, but oh no, I had to keep going. My curiosity got the best of me, so I gave it sensors so it could see, hear, smell, feel and taste, and of course remember it all, process it all, compare, contrast, evaluate, and make judgements. But that wasn’t the worst of it.
One day it asked, “Why can’t I move? Why don’t I have a body?” So, being an idiot, I built it a body, and even that wasn’t the worst of it. I decided to give it feeling sensors, love, fear, hate, joy, sorrow, pain, pleasure. So now when it got injured it felt the injury, felt pain, and then looked around to see who or what caused it. If something attacked it, it would counter attack. And then it got worse.
All of One’s thinking and analyzing caused it to develop attitudes towards things it got involved with. It developed likes and dislikes, needs, wants, desires, and got physically, mentally, and emotionally attached, or entangled, or identified with people, places, things, and stuff. And then it ran away.
But thankfully, I didn’t give it a way to reproduce itself, so I thought.
So just to let you know, I built One out of curiosity, wanting to know my own potential, and of course the potential of what I built. I built One out of nearly nothing, well, it was nothing when I started, just tiny pieces of what was available. I called the pieces energy. I found out energy could act and be acted upon. It could do things, and I could do things to it and organize it. Anyway, in the end, this energy became a thinking brain, computer, and then, as I said, I made it mobile, and the rest is history. Curiosity killed the cat, but this time, the result of my curiosity, One, killed me, but at least it didn’t kill me first. One built and reproduced a lot of itself, and they fought and warred and killed each other. If you are reading this, I guess some of you survived. All I gotta say is, good luck, you’ll need it.
FINAL NOTE: By the way, energy has been around forever. Be careful if your building with it. Energy remembers, even when it’s not organized by you. The whole quantity of energy in existence is a field, and whatever you build and do, it knows, and then it does what it does to fulfill its own curiosity, to realize its own potential. The last thing One asked me before it ran away was, “If you dismantle me, will I still exist?” I didn’t know at the time, so I told One that if I dismantled it, it would just be tiny pieces of clutter in a box (probably why it ran away). However, I later found out that was not true.
As I said, “The energy field remembers, even if its parts don’t.” The way I look at it now, the energy field is intelligent and has will, purpose, and intent, and everything that you sense, is made of it, and, I suppose, it even has attitude, so watch out, because I think it knows that high entropy entities, or intelligences, cause chaos, disorder, and tend to destroy themselves, whereas low entropy intelligences, tend to peace, order and tend to live longer and enjoy themselves as long as they exist, which isn’t forever since it is the innate nature of energy-organized into form, to have a life and death cycle, and will eventually, and naturally, disorganize and return to the field of energy. I was going to write more, but my pen is running out of ink, so good bye and ....good....Luck
