ONE BIG FAT CANNIBAL

Birth and death wrapped in an exciting package called life.  A beautiful deadly world is home.  I came out of it and will go back into it.  I am like a Pop Tart.  I pop out of the toaster, don’t know who made me, get eaten, get pooped back to whence I came.

In the meantime, between birth and death, I wonder, “What the hell?  Why pain and pleasure?”

Whatever the reason, and whatever I am, I am part of–a portion of–all that is.  I am made of the same stuff everything else is made of.  Everything is one thing and everything–individualized.

You can give every person, place, and thing, individual names, but ultimately and infinitesimally they all have one name: Energy.

The one infinitesimal energy, forms into complex energy-forms, and eat each other, and then turn into other energy-forms until all energy-forms fall apart and return to one infinitesimal mass of formlessness called, energy.

Construction and destruction is life, is the life and death process, repeat, repeat, repeat, and then there are the temporary energy-forms that humans call humans.

Nature is the name humans give to the process of how all energy-forms, formed.  Humans don’t know much about the process, but at least they’ve figured out everything  is one mass of energy–that for reasons scientist know nothing about–individualized, perhaps just because it can, or for the hell of it.

When a human is born, and becomes self-aware (knows it’s alive) all it knows is what it knows, which ain’t much, until it’s a teenager when it knows everything.

Humans don’t know much about not being alive, but they guess.  Being alive is all humans know–being dead, not so much.

When I look around, all I see is energy, energy individualized into forms.  When I look in a mirror, I see energy being a form, I call me, and while I am me, I get to experience pleasure and pain and learn how to turn energy into forms, and eat them.

You know what all that means, right?  Energy is a cannibal.  It becomes forms and eats them. Yup, energy is one big fat cannibal, making, killing and eating energy-forms–itself.  Life is hungry mother.
